at half time I posted “ “do it for CONOR!” ,,, i would switch Joe to Right side push Trent into midfield take off Ryan and play Robbo on the left side and Darwin on for Cody to damage the arse nal defence “
IMO JK/Lijnders should know.. before the start, that martinelli could cause problems , in the absence of Conor, I felt that Joe would have done better on the right and have a natural left footed Robbo on the left and Trent instead of Ryan (who is IMO, inconsistent in his games so far, he isn’t fit for these BIG games!) but the Team felt as down as I did when I heard just before the game about young Conor…
But after coming back into it, and really should have done better with chances in the early part of the 2nd half when we caught the gunners cold. ,,, this is the ONLY “defeat” in the league .. (can’t include the spurs scandal VARce! ) … the game was lost when VVd/AB “gifted” the 2nd goal…. Before that I felt we could win it.. Virgi l should know, as any CB that the golden rule is “DO NOT let a long ball bounce!” AB wasn’t at his best either tonight… the Team was off it..but still in OUR hands if we win the rest of the games! & why not?
